SYNOPSIS:

A MUSO DURO by Marco Pontecorvo tells the story of Antonio Maglio, an enlightened doctor who, inspired by the studies and methodologies of Prof. Ludwig Guttmann on the recovery of paraplegics, between the late ’50s and the early ’60s, gave hope and dignity to disabled people who, until that moment, were lying in a hospital bed. Thanks to Antonio Maglio were born the first Paralympic Games in history which participated 400 athletes from 23 nations.
